30-Day Song Challenge - Day 6

DAY 6 : Mirror of the Two Worlds - Cirque du Soleil (ZED)

Dès la première écoute, cette chanson m'a fasciné (même si la seconde moitié est moins impressionante que le début!). J'ai compris pourquoi grâce à ce défi de 30 jours. Si je me laisse porter par la musique, je me revois courir et m'aventurer dans la forêt qui entourait la maison où j'ai grandi. Je revois la lumière du soleil, les grands arbres, les branches sur le sol. Je ressens de nouveau cette liberté, ce bien-être... vous savez, ce sentiment que tout va bien dans le monde. C'est l'harmonie, la paix, la liberté, les découvertes et les aventures (réelles ou imaginaires) qui me reviennent à l'esprit quand je repense à cette forêt. Dans la seconde moitié de cette pièce, je me revois couché sur le sol, fixant le ciel, respirant les odeurs de la nature. C'est une image très sereine. Cette chanson du Cirque du Soleil me fait apprécier la chance que j'ai eue d'avoir un terrain de jeu aussi grand pour m'épanouir et développer mon imagination.

When I heard this song for the first time, it fascinated me (even though the second half is less epic than the beginning!). This challenge made me understand why. If I let the music talk to me, I can see myself running and wandring in the woods surrounding the house where I grew up. I can see again the sunlight, the tall trees. I feel again this freedom, this ... you know, this feeling that all is well with the world. What I remember the most about this forest is the harmony, the peace, the freedom, the adventures (imaginary or real) and the discoveries. In the second half, the picture I see is me as a child, laying on the ground, watching the sky, breathing, smelling the odors of the woods. It's peaceful and very serene. This song from Cirque du Soleil makes me grateful for this huge playground that I had; it shaped my personality and helped me develop my imagination.
