30-Day Song Challenge - Day 4

Je n'ai pas hésité longtemps pour cette chanson non plus. Pour ce 4e jour, je dois vous présenter une chanson qui me rend triste.

There was no hesitation for this song. On this fourth day, I must present you a song that makes me sad.

DAY 4 : Sad Resolution ~Separation~ - Ooshima Michiru

Pour ceux qui n'ont jamais vu le premier film de Fullmetal Alchemist (Conqueror of Shamballa), cette chanson accompagne une scène qui me déchire le coeur chaque fois que je la vois.Edward et Alphonse Elric sont deux frères qui ont été séparés pendant plusieurs années. Qaund ils finissent par se retrouver, Edward décide de rentrer dans notre monde afin de détruire le portail entre les mondes. Alphonse n'est pas d'accord. Les doubleurs anglais ont fait un travail spectaculaire; l'émotion dans la voix d'Alphonse alors qu'il apostrophe son frère, lui disant qu'il n'a pas l'obligation d'y aller est bouleversante. Mais Edward, avec sa voix qui exprime à la fois sa résolution et sa tristesse en même temps lorsqu'il réplique qu'il doit le faire... Les larmes me sont montées aux yeux. Cette chanson exprime ces sentiments avec brio, et elle ne manque pas de me faire revivre ces émotions à chaque fois.

If you haven't seen the first Fullmetal Alchemist movie (Conqueror of Shamballa), this song plays during an heartbreaking scene. No matter how many times I see it, it's still hard. Edward and Alphonse Elric are brothers, and they have been separated for some years. When they finally got to see each other, Edward must go back to our world to destroy the portal between the two worlds. And Alphonse is not happy of it. The English dub for this scene is stellar; the emotion in Alphonse voice when he calls his brother, telling him that he do not have to go back is gut wrenching. But Edward voice carries so much resolution and sadness at the same time when he answers that he has to do it... I got teary-eyed. This song conveys those feelings with a lot of accuracy, and I feel those emotions each and every time I listen to it.
